I hurt my back in September. It’s been a real mess. I talk about it here.
I’ve written new pages to go with my old pages. False starts everywhere. Before, I was writing about characters quite broadly. Archetypes, not human beings. It takes time to either discover or craft the logic behind the human beings you want to write about. Today I took great leaps forward on a long-gestating project and it was the first time I felt good in weeks. I aim to make good use of this progress to bring to life a big story in the coming months. It may take longer than that, to be honest. Regardless, the time to start writing my multi-novella project is now.
