or, gathered bits of life and art that inspired me this week.
I used to call this type of post the noteworthy links, but I like this format much better. I’m sad to say goodbye to the bullet points, I liked those. Regardless, here’s a few things I liked this week:
THIS QUOTE RESONATED
The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret to getting started is breaking your overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one.

WIKIPEDIA RABBIT HOLE
Wikipedia is pure possibility. When I’m feeling lucky, I let the Wikipedia:Random feature take me wherever the hell it wants.
I’m not going to belabor these Wikipedia entries. I’m just going to read them on my own and share a link with you. This week, I learned about a robust statistical method known as least trimmed squares. There’s poetry in this article I haven’t fully uncovered yet.
A SMALL JOY
I came upon this serving of evergreen advice from C.S. Lewis to a young writer.

A WORK OF ART
As I worked on coalitionworks8, I returned to one of my favorite YouTube videos: The Phil Selway Tiny Desk Concert.
Of course, I’m a huge Radiohead fan who’s still bummed out they haven’t put out a new album since 2016. To hold us over it seems, the band members have gone on to produce exciting solo work. Out of all of them, I am constantly drawn to Phil Selway’s singer/songwriter aesthetic straight out of the 70s. Songs with assured personalities, peppered with lush strings and other such dramatic arrangements, are showcased in the first track of this video, The Heart of It All. I love it. It’s been my comfort listen this month, and a work of art.
That’s it. Go make a dent. Much love,
