or, the things i am working on and things i’ve gathered.
Yes, I start my weeks on Monday like a normal person.

I organized my filing cabinets, cleaned my workspace. Felt right. I’m fighting the clutter in the basement, where most of the creative stuff happens, don’t want to bring trash into 2025.

Recorded a few additions to cluster. Chasing emotional truth over logic. Acted all over the place. Way too much fun, and so liberating to be ridiculous. Made a list of remaining SFX to procure this week. So many sound effects. So many miles to go. Sigh.

Took a break from cluster one to lay out a new approach for coalitionworks. For 2025, we are expanding coalitionist to prominently feature short nonfiction, unpublished and previously published work, primarily from defunct lit mags. I want nonfiction writing about cats and other things. It’s a work in progress but I am thrilled to expand the coalition in this way! send your short nonfiction here: https://coalitionist.substack.com/p/share-your-work-here

Camus, you are a constellation’s worth of light and inspiration to me. Thanks to friend of Arts Calling Joseph Fasano for sharing this one. After Albert Camus won the Nobel Prize for Literature, he wrote a letter to his childhood teacher. What a gem.

Finished Over the Garden Wall with the fam. A beautiful blend of dark and sweet so exquisitely realized. Scheduled rewatch in the fall, of course!

A couple of long editing sessions this week for cluster. Getting closer every day. Currently editing our first Arts Calling episode of 2025 to be released next week! Excited to get back on track with the podcast!
